Our Story

Workaaholic was founded in 2025 with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a seamless connection between skilled craftsmen and clients who need their expertise. Our journey began when our founder, struggling to find reliable professionals for home repairs, recognized the gap in the market for a trustworthy platform that could bridge this divide.

We noticed that while there were many skilled craftsmen available, clients often faced challenges in finding the right professional for their specific needs. Similarly, talented craftsmen struggled to reach potential clients beyond their immediate networks. This disconnect led to missed opportunities, delayed projects, and frustration on both sides.

Driven by this insight, we built Workaaholic as a comprehensive solution that addresses these challenges head-on. Our platform combines advanced technology with human expertise to create a marketplace where quality, reliability, and trust are paramount. About Workaaholic Founder

Nnaemeka Ugwumba attended primary school in Cornerstone International Schools, Aba, Abia state, he finished his secondary school in Lilac Comprehensive Secondary School, Aba, Abia state. He attended the Abia state polytechnic, Aba (Now known as Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba) where he obtained OND and HND in Computer Science. He proceeded to the University of Port Harcourt where he obtained his PGD and M.Sc in computer science.

Asides his enormous academic pursuits, Nnaemeka has a lot of certifications from Securiti Education, CISCO Networking Academy, Google and the Open University, USA. He has the following certifications from the above mentioned institutions: AI Security, DSPM fundamentals, Introduction to cyber security, Introduction to Data Science, Introduction to IoT and Digital Transformation, Introduction to modern AI, PrivacyOps, Programming in C++, Python Programming and Fundamentals of Digital Marketing.

Also, he has won many awards from the National Association of computer science students (Now National Association of computing students). Among these awards include: Best Student of the year 2018, prestigious award of selfless service 2021, and as well the prestigious award of honor from the executive arm of the student union government, 2018. He is also the best graduating student in the department of computer science, class of 2020 in Abia state polytechnic, Aba (HND) and as well one of the best graduating students, class of 2022 and 2025 in University of Port Harcourt respectively (PGD & M.Sc).

Mr. Nnaemeka has done a lot of research in various areas of specialization in computer science, ranging from Software engineering, Database Design, Quantum computing, Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence. Here are some of the research carried out by him: Load Balancing in web applications, Digital signature, Automated Staff appraisal system, Design and development of pension management information system, Digital forensics using AI and Data mining, Fake job offer detection using DistilBERT model, Facial Emotion Recognition using RestNet50, Liver Disease prediction using Support vector machines, Enhanced task prioritization web application using Deep-Q-Network model, etc.

In 2024, Nnaemeka founded his Software company LASKENTA TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED (one of West Africa's fast growing tech companies), which is the parent company of Workaaholic. He specializes in building mobile Apps, websites and AI systems. He is an in-depth researcher and technical writer, and as well a business inclined personality. He has mentored, tutored and supervised over 1000 students, particularly in high school and College. He has over 15 article publications in Journals.

About Workaaholic Non-Executive Director

Gary Llewellyn is an international business strategist, governance professional, and financial risk specialist with multidisciplinary experience spanning global financial services, strategic advisory, military leadership, agricultural management, startup mentorship, and international business development.

He currently leads Global Financial Risk in the United Kingdom, where he develops financial risk and business growth strategies for private clients and emerging ventures across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and North America. His work focuses on governance advisory, commercial growth strategy, operational resilience, leadership development, and support for high growth early stage companies.

Prior to this, Gary served as Assistant Vice President, Global Governance at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the City of London, where he supported global risk governance operations across EMEA, APAC, and Latin America. During his tenure, he contributed to enterprise risk management initiatives, governance reporting, anti bribery compliance, and executive risk oversight programs. He was recognized with the Bronze Global Diversity and Inclusion Award in 2019 for his contribution to workplace inclusion and leadership initiatives.

Gary also served in the British Army for more than two decades, where he held senior leadership responsibilities within the Welsh Guards Band and Household Division. He represented the United Kingdom during major state, diplomatic, and ceremonial occasions both domestically and internationally, including the Royal Wedding, the Queen's Golden and Diamond Jubilee celebrations, and global ceremonial engagements. During his military service, he additionally led media, marketing, communications, and public engagement initiatives for high profile national events and military organizations.

Alongside his corporate and military background, Gary has contributed extensively to charitable, educational, and non profit initiatives, including work with veterans support organizations, leadership mentoring programs, mediation services, and international empowerment initiatives.

Academically, Gary holds legal, leadership, humanities, and management qualifications from institutions including The University of Law, University of Exeter, The Open University, and Chartered Management Institute. His educational background includes studies in law, leadership, governance, strategic change management, natural sciences, coaching and mentoring, and humanities.

At Workaaholic and its parent company Laskenta Technologies Limited, Gary serves as Non-Executive Director for Global Strategy and Partnership, supporting the Company's international positioning, strategic partnerships, governance development, and long term global expansion initiatives, including the growth of Workaaholic as a globally scalable technology platform.

Maximilian Kiefer is an international technology strategist, robotics researcher, artificial intelligence specialist, entrepreneur, and innovation executive with multidisciplinary experience spanning advanced engineering, AI systems, automation, robotics, compliance, digital transformation, and emerging technology commercialization.

He serves as Chief Innovation Officer at Laskenta Technologies Limited, the parent company of Workaaholic, where he contributes to the company's global innovation strategy, advanced technology research, AI systems architecture, product development direction, automation initiatives, and long term emerging technology expansion.

Dr. Kiefer holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration and Management from the Swiss School of Business Research, completed in 2024 with passing honors. His academic background combines engineering, artificial intelligence, robotics, entrepreneurship, compliance, innovation management, and advanced technology systems.

He also holds a Master of Laws in Compliance from Université de Fribourg, with specialist focus areas including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence compliance, blockchain regulation, anti money laundering compliance, corporate governance, data privacy, and global trade compliance.

In addition, he pursued advanced studies in Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University, with concentration areas including manufacturing systems, product development, DevOps, blockchain technologies, signal processing, energy systems, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He also undertook advanced informatics studies at the University of Zurich, focusing on artificial intelligence, blockchain systems, software engineering, cybersecurity, financial analytics, and digital architectures.

Dr. Kiefer previously worked as a Robotics Software Engineer at UBS, where he led robotic process automation initiatives across multiple United States regions, developing intelligent automation systems for financial services operations. His work included advanced RPA engineering, process automation architecture, machine learning integration concepts, systems engineering documentation, and enterprise workflow optimization.

His technical and research experience includes work with internationally respected institutions including Carnegie Mellon University, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Columbia Business School, and the University of Oxford.

At The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, he contributed to AI driven medical imaging infrastructure within the Radiology AI Lab, focusing on secure medical data processing, anonymization systems, protected health information removal, and deep learning integration for healthcare applications.

At Carnegie Mellon University, he participated in advanced robotics and artificial intelligence research projects involving autonomous systems, robotic navigation, underwater robotics, machine learning systems, environmental robotics, speech technologies, motion planning, computer vision, and engineering innovation. His work included collaboration within the Field Robotics Center, the Language Technologies Institute, and robotics research laboratories focused on automation and intelligent systems.

Dr. Kiefer is also the founder of Kiefer Robotics LLC, where he led the research and development of environmental robotics technologies focused on waste management, agricultural robotics, autonomous systems, underwater robotic systems, and sustainable engineering applications. Several of these projects progressed into prototype development, laboratory testing, and commercialization discussions.

Beyond engineering and research, Dr. Kiefer has extensive exposure to startup ecosystems, venture strategy, and innovation commercialization. He participated in entrepreneurial and innovation programs associated with Columbia Business School and the University of Oxford startup incubator ecosystem, focusing on startup company development, customer discovery, lean business models, and innovation scaling strategies.

He has also served as a lecturer in artificial intelligence related disciplines at the Swiss School of Business Research, delivering lectures in Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and Neural Networks.

His professional certifications include qualifications in artificial intelligence strategy, Agile project management, robotics process automation, blockchain systems, Scrum methodologies, cybersecurity, and automation architecture. He is certified by organizations including Scrum Alliance, UiPath, and Automation Anywhere.

Dr. Kiefer's multidisciplinary background uniquely combines engineering, law, compliance, robotics, AI systems, automation, entrepreneurship, and strategic innovation leadership. His experience across research institutions, enterprise environments, startups, and advanced technology ecosystems positions him as a strong contributor to Workaaholic and Laskenta's international innovation ambitions.
